The California Turtle and Tortoise Club Santa Barbara - Ventura chapter was formed in 1992 when the Turtle and Tortoise Club of Santa Barbara (founded in November 1988 by Joan Terrio) incorporated as a chapter of CTTC.  In 1994, the Chapter changed its name from CTTC Santa Barbara  to CTTC Santa Barbara-Ventura to better reflect the area serviced by the Chapter.

The Santa Barbara-Ventura Chapter currently has quarterly Meetings
that feature speakers and educational programs.
